Austin’s Circuit of the Americas has been designed to combine the best bits of other circuits into one super circuit and boy did the designers get it right!
This circuit puts fans first. The spectator viewing areas are fabulous. Turn 1 & Turn 15 grandstands offers a unsurpassed giant panoramic view of the track, whilst General Admission tickets provides circuit wide access, huge trackside grassy banks and giant video screens.
Our Texas F1 Grand Prix event is much more than a race weekend it’s a fabulous Texan experience. Our home for the F1 Grand Prix weekend is a famous colonial hotel, situated next door to the historic Alamo, in the centre of San Antonio. When not at the circuit, you can enjoy an action packed stay. A visit to the historic Alamo is an absolute must. As is evenings exploring the famous riverside bars and restaurants. After dinner, you just have to experience the wonderful ‘Howl at the Moon Bar’ with it’s rock and roll dueling pianos.
Step into the exquisite three-story Victorian lobby of the Menger Hotel, and you’ll be transported to a time of frontier history and legend. Built in 1859 the Menger ushered in a new era of sophistication to the Texas frontier, and more than 150 years of refinements have created a masterpiece of traditional elegance and modern comforts.
The Menger Hotel is renowned for its beautiful architecture, a restored 19th-century wing with Victorian-style guestrooms, rare antique furniture, and paintings. Stately columns rise from the burnished floor of the lobby, and antique furnishings, light fixtures, and artwork lend an air of historic luxury.
The legendary Menger Bar is an exact replica of London’s House of Lord’s Pub, the Menger Bar is where Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders. Built in 1887, this establishment has a panelled ceiling of dark cherry wood, bevelled mirrors from France and the original brass spittoons provided for the convenience of its early customers. Once the site of more cattle deals than any place in Texas, the Menger Bar has been voted one of the Top Ten Most Historic Bars in the United States. The Menger Bar will make your visit something to remember.
The Menger offers accommodations of historic sophistication and modern conveniences. Views include The Alamo, Alamo Plaza, and the tropical courtyard garden or pool.
Guests are lavished with amenities, including dining in the neoclassical elegance of the Colonial Room Restaurant, enjoying cocktails and stories in the legendary Menger Bar, or relaxing in the large outdoor heated pool, in the Spanish garden, or at the Alamo Plaza Spa.
Many San Antonio attractions are within a few blocks, including the Alamo and the famous Riverwalk.
When we conducted our pre-race visit in October 2011 we stayed in San Antonio and Austin. We traveled to the circuit from both cities and whilst the circuit was closer to Austin, the volume of city traffic and mostly grid locked Austin road network, negated any advantage of proximity. In contrast, the drive from San Antonio was on a fast flowing major highway to the circuit entrance.
It was easy to see why Alamo City San Antonio is the premier visitor destination in Texas. San Antonio, home of the Alamo and the Riverwalk, has more character than any other big city in Texas. It has a downtown area that is historic, attractive, friendly, comfortable and safe. You can’t go wrong in San Antonio.
The other major consideration is price. Austin’s hotels increase their prices by a tremendous amount for the F1, San Antonio does not. San Antonio is the smart option for enjoying the Texas Grand Prix.
Suites: Specially designed suites appeal to couples who prefer more spacious living quarters. Suites feature an elegant parlour area and one king bed in a separate room.
Standard King Rooms: Charming rooms decorated with traditional classic furnishings with pedestal-style fixtures in the bathroom.

Main Grandstand. The viewing is appalling we will not sell you this ticket! The start line is not in front of the grandstand. It’s half way up the hill towards Turn 1.
This entry level ticket is fantastic value for money. The track was designed with perfectly angled and elevated grassy banks surrounding the entire track providing incredible views that are right on top of the racing action. You can walk around the entire circuit and access all the merchandising outlets.
Reserved seating. The track rises sharply, climbing nearly 130 feet between the start/finish line and Turn 1. The drivers will hit 187 mph (301 km/h) before braking hard down to 69 mph (111 km/h). This will be one of the best places for drivers to pass each other on the track, so Turn 1 will see plenty of action during the race. From the Turn 1 Grandstand fans can also see back down the Main Straight as well as the vista of the Texas countryside and the city of Austin in the background. Heading out of Turn 1 the track plunges downhill to Turn 2. This grandstand offers THE best viewing platform in F1. Giant Video screen completes the viewing experience. Important! Our private bus parks just outside the circuit entrance to Turn 1
Reserved seating. Spectacular views of the longest straight on the circuit and the hairpin turns 12, 13, 14 and 15. Giant Video screen completes the viewing experience. This grandstand is situated in the heart of the F1 Village the centre of the entertainment zone. It is very close to the circuit main entrance.
The best mid-priced grandstand ticket.

Many thanks for a great stay in San Antonio, we both loved the hotel, the river cruise was excellent and obviously the race result was super, well done on arranging that!!
Sorry we didn't get to say Goodbye in person - not sure what time you left yesterday. We had such a fantastic time - loved San Antonio and met some great people. The race was incredible and we enjoyed watching it when we got home last night.
Had a smashing time, it was really good. Can't wait to do it again.
Just to say we really enjoyed the trip well organised and lovely hosts!
I wanted to say "Thank you" for another fantastic F1 expirience, Mom and I could not have enjoyed ourselves any more. It was a pleasure meeting Linda this time. You both do an excellent job. I hope we can join you on another trip in the future. I'll send some more pictures when I can.
Cannot believe we have all been back over a week already, it doesn't take long to get back into the swing of normal stuff! Anyway, sorry for the delay, but just wanted to thank you both for a great trip for the Grand Prix. I know it is always difficult with new venues etc, but we thought it all went really well, hopefully it did from your side too. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, your organisation was fantastic and nice touches with the river cruise and dinner on Sunday, it all added to the experience. Of course the race itself was amazing and dont the Americans know how to make you feel welcome. Hopefully we will been joining you in Abu Dhabi next year. Thanks again, and best wishes to you both and your family for Christmas and the New Year.
We invite guests to return to this section after they have attended the race and to share their enjoyment of the event with others. Send your feedback.
