Intro

Join us at the F1 event of the year, when Spain throws the biggest party of 2012 and welcomes home its favourite son Fernando Alonso. The spectacular Montmelo circuit, situated in the hills outside Barcelona, is the most modern track in Europe. Its spectator facilities are amazing. Its grandstands offer superb view. You can walk around the entire circuit and still find time to visit the F1 village with it's exciting merchandising.

The MotoExpress F1 weekend is a luxurious affair. A three night break in the spectacular city of Girona staying at the hotel Llegendes, one of the most sensational hotels in all of Spain. The hotel is reserved exclusively for the use of MotoExpress guests.

The package includes 3 nights accommodation and breakfasts, reception party with fine wines, coach transfers to circuit and weekend race tickets. A stylish Sunday celebration dinner brings the weekend to a close.  A range of upgrades including Pit Lane Walk are also available.

Hotel

Located right in the historic centre of the city, the 4 star Hotel Llegendes de Girona Catedral is ideally located for the many tourist attractions in the city, such as the Romanesque Cathedral or the Jewish quarter, one of the best preserved in Spain.

The hotel is reserved exclusively for the use of MotoExpress guests.

The hotel occupies an emblematic building with stone walls and a 13th century staircase, totally restored with noble materials and elegantly decorated to offer a quiet and well-balanced atmosphere, offering the maximum comfort and exclusive services you can expect from a 4 star hotel.

Superb services at the Hotel Llegendes de Girona Catedral include a charming bar called El Pou dels Capricis, open from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m., where you will be able to sample local mouth watering delicacies. The hotel offers free wireless Internet access throughout the building and laundry service.

Superior Doubles
Fantastic two-level rooms overlooking the magnificent old town district and its belfries. The spectacular large windows let natural sunlight come through, creating the sensation of seeing without being seen. The upper-level room with wooden ceiling is intended as a flexible private space for rest and contemplation. Bathrooms with translucent glass create a unique space in each room. On the upper floor there is a modern living-room with natural pinewood gable roof and Eros sofa.

Race tickets

A ticket with many advantages! With the purchase of your ticket, you have several advantages to fully enjoy the Grand Prix:
- On Friday you may access any grandstand with a general admission ticket.
- During the three days of the GP, you can walk around all public areas through the asphalted paths that connect the different areas inside the Circuit.
- You are able to follow the whole race without missing a single detail from any place with giant screens strategically located around the Circuit.

Ticket choice

Our included ticket Pelouse (General Admission)

During the Grand Prix you are able to go around the entire Circuit as all areas are connected. Enjoy all the activities in the commercial area behind the the main grandstand. Altogether there are eight general admission areas around the circuit, all with fabulous track views and giant TV screens. Catering facilities are situated close to all Pelouse areas. On a practical note you are never far from excellent WC facilities.

Our recommended upgrades

Grandstand N Located between Turn 8 and Turn 9, it offers an excellent view of the cars under hard acceleration. One of the most technical and best valued by drivers.

Grandstand H Located at the exit of the Europcar turn, it offers an unbeatable view of the stadium. You can also see the Turisme de Catalunya turn before getting to the finish line.  This is the place to be!!

Main Grandstand The Main Grandstand is located in front of the pit garages offering an excellent view of the starting grid, the finish and the podium

All Grandstand ticket holders can fully explore the circuit and  can also watch the action from the Pelouse (General Admission areas).

Girona

Girona has all the charm of a large city but without the crowds; a very “human-sized” city that will leave you walking around awestruck with your eyes wide open and your mouth agape at all it has to offer: its streets, festivals, cultural activities, world class restaurants, tourist services and events. Girona is uber cool and a very much alive city.

Welcome Party

The Welcome Reception has become an essential part of MotoExpress race weekend. An opportunity to meet your fellow guests. Talk about the exciting weekend ahead whilst enjoying complementary drinks and snacks; and I promise to keep my welcome talk to an absolute minimum!!!

Sunday Celebration Dinner

We have reserved a very special restaurant for our exclusive use. An opportunity to relax and chat with newly made friends. To recount the wonderful experiences of a high octane race weekend.
The conversation, just like the wine, flows late into the evening as we relive the excitement of the last few days. A wonderful end to a truly memorable weekend.

F1 Fiesta

If this is your first Spanish F1 you will blown away by the unique fiesta atmosphere. Join the 140,000 fans cheering for their favourite son Fernando Alonso and if there should be an Alonso victory, stand by for wild celebrations and huge fireworks displays.

Pit Lane Walk

If you can arrive early, take advantage of the free Thursday open pit lane and and 'meet the drivers' session. A great autograph opportunity. Get close to the drivers, their cars and to look into the team garages.

Friday Practice

Friday Free Practice sessions. A great opportunity to watch the cars from any grandstand.

Extra Days

The city of Barcelona is within easy reach by train, bus or car. Nearby are the beautiful fishing villages of Palamos and St Feliu de Guixols. So take advantage of our special MotoExpress extra night rates and transform your F1 weekend into a wonderful Catalan holiday.
 

Getting there

For this event you should book flights to Girona airport.
The cost of the flights are not included in the event price.
We do not recommend the booking of flights to Barcelona International (El Prat) airport. As you will be faced with a 60 mile journey to reach our hotels.

Airport transfers

Transfers from Girona airport arrivals terminal to the hotel should cost around Euro 30 per taxi each way. The journey to the hotel takes around 15 minutes.
