Passion, legend, courage and excitement. The essential ingredients of the Italian F1 held at the historic Autodromo Nazionale Monza. Whilst the original banked track has long since been abandoned,
Monza is still the real home of the Italian Grand Prix, which has been staged here every year but one since 1950, and the "tifosi" add to the unique atmosphere. For race enthusiasts the world over it is simply the ultimate Grand Prix.

Our Monza Grand Prix holiday package is the ultimate in style and quality. A three night break based in the superbly stylish Lombardy town of Bergamo.
Situated in the medieval upper quarter is the hotel Piazza Vechia. This is a stunning family run boutique hotel and we take over the entire hotel. With F1 team flags adorning the hotel walls we create a Grand-Prix house party atmosphere . The hotel is ideally located to explore the many squares and fascinating narrow streets with many stylish shops, great restaurants and bars awaiting your discovery.

The package includes 3 nights hotel accommodation, welcome drinks party, sunday celbration dinner, coach transfers to the circuit with VIP parking, weekend grandstand tickets.

Hotel

Our Fantastic Boutique Hotel is located in the very heart of Bergamo Alta.

The hotel Piazza Vecchia enjoys a beautiful position in the historic centre of Bergamo, a few steps from the Piazza Vecchia square, defined by the famous architect Le Courbusier, the most beautiful square in Europe. The hotel is housed in a 14th century building, where modern amenities blend with ancient charm. This is a hotel that makes you feel very special indeed. The hotel is reserved exclusively for MotoExpress guests.

Race tickets

Our tickets are valid for the entire race weekend. Circuit transfers on Saturday and Sunday via private bus with VIP in circuit parking included.
Guests wishing to take advantage of Thursday Pit lane walk about or Friday practice can arrange private taxis via hotel reception.

Lateral Parabolic (21a) Grandstand - included ticket
This grandstand is located on the outside of the circuit just before the last corner. Fantastic views of the cars racing down the back straight, where they can reach speeds of up to 200mph, before braking for the famous Parabolica Corner, a very fast 3rd gear corner. 

Ascari Grandstand - upgrade ticket
A superb grandstand on the edge of the famous and evocative Ascari curves. No other grandstand offers such an exciting and close view of the cars as they pass through the high speed chicanes and curves. It's no wonder that tickets for this prized grandstand sell out within weeks of going on sale. A giant video wall keeps you up to date with all the race action.
 

Centrale Grandstand - upgrade ticket
In front of the pits, offering a perfect view of build up to the race and the spectacular start. Also wheel changes, the finish and podium ceremony. It also gives an excellent view of the cars as they exit the Curva Parabolica, one of the fastest and most difficult turns on the circuit. The cars pass you at speeds in excess of 200mph before hitting the brakes hard before Rettifilo. Huge video walls keep you up to date with all the race action. During the build up to the race inside the main grandstands it is a high octane atmosphere, Mexican waves, flag waving, singing, this is F1, Tifosi style!!

Staying in Bergamo Alta

Bergamo Alta is Italy's jewel in the crown. From the little side streets to the magnificent Piazza Vecchia the upper town is full of amazing places. Visit the spectacular Capella Colleoni with it's multicoloured facade and beautiful works of art. Discover your favourite Italian restaurant and order Polenta con Salsiccia, cornmeal with sausages a local specialty, or try it with rabbit. Have a glass of wine at the Vineria Cozze, a well frequented wine bar, and don't forget a homemade gelato at the Piazza Vecchia. You will love BERGAMO it's a hidden gem!!

Meet the Drivers

The Monza circuit is unique. It's like going back to the days when you would always come across drivers as you made your way around the circuit. Over the years we have bumped into many famous faces and we are delighted to tell our guests where the drivers will be.

Podium Celebrations

It's 2010 Fernando Alonso has just won the race, Filipe Massa has come second. A Ferrari one two! I'm in the crush under the podium, one amongst thousands of delirious flag waving Ferrari fans. And then Alonso appears on the podium. The celebrations get even wilder and the noise is just incredible. The Italian national anthem is played, I join in miming the words. Champagne is flying through the air over the crowd. Alonso has just become a Ferrari legend.

Welcome Reception Party

An opportunity to meet your fellow guests. Talk about the weekend ahead whilst enjoying complementary drinks and snacks. The party is held on Friday evening within the wine tasting room of the hotel. The hotel also owns vineyards and the wines you will be served are from their own estates.

Celebration dinner

The Celebration Dinner has become a much loved part of the MotoExpress race weekend. An opportunity to relax and chat with newly made friends. To recount the wonderful experiences of a high octane race weekend enjoyed. We take over a restaurant on the Piazza Vecchia, dining in typical Italian style, grouped around long tables. The conversation, just like the wine, flows late into the evening as we relive the excitement of the last few days. A wonderful end to a truly memorable weekend.

There is no need to venture too far away from Bergamo. For example, from Bergamo Alta you can take the Funicular even higher to the district of San Vigilio. You will find two sensational restaurants with unbelievable panoramas.

Getting there

The hotel Piazza Vecchia is situated in the upper medieval town of Bergamo Alta in the Lombardy region of Italy.

The closest airport is Bergamo Orio Al Serio which is only a 15 minute taxi ride to the hotel. The cost of the flights are not included in the event price.

Milan's international airport, Linate is 26 miles away. Malpensa is 45 miles.

There are frequent train services from Milan to Bergamo.

Experience of running this event has proven that it is quicker and simpler to get local taxis from outside the airport arrivals hall rather than make advance bookings.

Just to say thanks  we had a wonderful experience at Monza.
The race was thrilling, our first time at the GP, the seats couldn't have been better, the hotel was beautiful, the company good fun and all the arrangements ran smoothly.
