Intro

The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the world's greatest motor-racing events. Staged around the narrow, winding streets of Monte Carlo, the main attraction of the Monaco Grand Prix is the close proximity of the cars to the spectators. The twisting 77-lap circuit offers incalculable opportunities for spectators to witness the thrill of screaming engines, smoking tyres and the genius of the drivers. The Monaco Grand Prix is not only about the race through the streets. It is also about the harbour, the yachts, the surrounding hills and the breathtaking views of the port and all the glamour that goes with it.

Our Monaco F1 Grand Prix holiday packages are the ultimate in style and quality. A four night break in the hills of St-Paul-de-Vence, overlooking the sparkling Cote d'Azur. Our special hotels with beautiful pools, terraces and stunning Mediterranean views are just outside the medieval town.

Les Vergers Hotel

Hotel Overview

In the hills of St-Paul-de-Vence, overlooking the sparkling Cote d'Azur. The Les Vergers hotel with it's beautiful pool and terrace with stunning Mediterranean views is just a short 10 minutes from the town walls. This very special hotel is taken over entirely by us creating a unique Grand-Prix house party atmosphere. Jacques the owner of the hotel speaks perfect English and he will be around for the entire weekend. He appears to know the entire population of Saint Paul, which is great when it comes to making restaurant reservations.

Saint Paul De Vence Overview

Saint Paul de Vence is a charming hilltop fortified village in Provence, filled with art galleries, boutiques and sidewalk cafes. St Paul is probably the most beautiful village in all of Provence . A walk through its winding streets reveals elegant fountains, vine-covered stone walls and statues tucked into nooks in the walls. There are breathtaking views of mountains and sea. Even the ground below is attractive, as the cobblestones are laid into the shapes of flowers.

Race tickets Overview

Your ticket, valid for the entire race weekend, gives access to the fabulous Casino Square Grandstand B for Saturday Qualifying and on Sunday race day the Harbour front Grandstand K . Our consecutively numbered tickets ensure you sit with the rest of the MotoExpress group. Directly behind your grandstand are large and numerous catering facilities. Also a multitude of merchandising outlets for those must have T shirts and caps.

Saturday
Following breakfast it's onto the Motoexpress coach for the transfer to Monaco. We have reserved bus parking in the principality. Your grandstand ticket places you in the stunning Casino Square, unimaginably close to cars and the action. Our bus departs Monaco late afternoon. After qualifying has ended you have time to chill out with a drink or to explore the area around Casino Square which includes the world famous Cafe de Paris

Sunday
Once again we have reserved bus parking in the principality. Your race day ticket is for the harbour front K grandstand, You get to see the most evocative of Grand Prix images. F1 cars exiting the Monaco tunnel and screaming down-hill towards Tabac corner before accelerating in-between the glamorous yachts and the packed grandstands towards the swimming pool.

Pit Lane Tour

Included within the price of your MotoExpress package is the opportunity to access the Pit lane, team garages and meet the drivers. This fantastic tour takes place on Friday afternoon immediately after your visit to Cannes. Once again transport and principality parking is included in your package price.

Cannes film festival visit

On Friday morning we have arranged a trip to the beautiful town of Cannes which plays host the world's most glamorous film festival. You will have time to explore this exciting city and enjoy a spot of lunch on the sea front.

Pit lane tour

Walk along the most famous pit lane in the Grand Prix world. Look into team garages where the engineers are preparing the cars for qualifying sessions. A great opportunity to get driver's autographs and photos!

Sunday celebration dinner

We have reserved the famous Alain Llorca restaurant for our celebration dinner. The conversation, just like the wine flows late into the evening as we relive the excitement of the last few days. A wonderful end to a truly memorable weekend.

An Insiders Story

Throughout the Monaco weekend we are joined by F1 insider Dave Hamer. Dave has had a successful F1 career and has played an important part in three world championships. One with Benetton and Michael Schumacher and two with Renault F1 and Fernando Alonso. Dave will be providing an informative back drop to the Monaco Grand Prix, explaining how a team and driver prepare themselves for the most prestigious race of the year. And having worked with many of the great characters in F1 he has some amazing tales to tell.

Our hotels are in and around the Provencal hill top village of Saint Paul de Vence just 8 miles north of Nice airport. All our hotels have private car parking.

What you've said

Well, where do I begin?……..I guess the truth is, that I’m still on a HIGH from an ABSOLUTELY, FANTASTICALLY, AMAZING TIME!........I LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!
It was a surprise Birthday Prezzie from my Hubby! And when he told me about it, I was thrilled. He directed me to the Motoexpress website and I was looking at the pics, but had slight reservations, because I was not involved in the booking, so had no control or what to fully expect. It didn’t dampen my enthusiasm however, and the website went some way to keeping my focus, as I counted down the weeks, days, hours etc!

I would HIGHLY recommend this trip! I found John and Linda to pleasant, down-to-earth, yet professional in their approach. I’m not really one for package holidays, but I found this a positive experience, because the Group were all friendly F1 enthusiasts, and even though some of us were fans of opposing teams, there was a mutual respect and great comradely. I’m an UNAPOLOGETIC LEWIS HAMILTON FAN! But I acknowledge the skillset of Alonso & Schumacher….(by those names I guess you can tell the type of driving that I like – Hardcore, Dynamically fast!) I've been to the British Grand Prix 3 Times and loved the atmosphere!

Anyway, the trip to Cannes was great, then the next day onto Monaco for Practice & Qualifying. We had great seats right opposite the World Famous Monte Carlo Casino. Hubby & I were intrigued to see what it would look like, because we had stayed in Monaco for a week last Sept, so the transformation was amazing.

On Race Day John & Linda saved the best till last!!! Our seats were right opposite the Marina, AWESOME!

The Hotel was pleasant, was booked Exclusively for our group, which was brilliant. It was situated in a lovely location, with the local enchanting Historical village of Saint-Paul just 10 mins away, so you can pick which Restaurants to dine at. We Loved EVERY restaurant that we visited, and found the people to be SO friendly! (mind you, I'm quite friendly!)

We extended our stay after the grand prix weekend, so that we could relax and take in the Beautiful scenic landscape, exploring the village & making friends in the process.

ANYWAY IN CONCLUSION – we enjoyed the experience so much, we have BOOKED for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in Nov later this year for Hubby’s 50th…………I CAN’T WAIT!!! (It's my 50th next year, but Hubby has booked a trip to the Caribbean for me)......On reflection, Next Year's Monaco Grand Prix would have been good 50th Prezzie! but I'm grateful for the wonderful experience I had this year!
