Silverstone F1 Grand Prix 8th July 2012
Intro
Silverstone plays host to the nation's most anticipated event, the 2011 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX. As one of the sporting highlights of the British Summer, few sporting occasions match the intensity, glamour and drama of the BRITISH GRAND PRIX and whether a wide eyed first timer or seasoned veteran, the experience is breathtaking.
We have two hotels and choice of tickets for everyone.
The Peacock Inn F1 weekend package is a great British affair. We
have reserved an Oxfordshire country inn for our Grand Prix weekend. The
Peacock Inn will be transformed into a special F1 venue with team flags
adorning the bar and restaurant walls. Think of your stay as a big F1
house party. Throughout the weekend guests will be treated to
superb traditional English food and can enjoy real ales and fine wines.
In addition to half board accommodation your event package includes
circuit transfers and your choice of 3 day race tickets.
The Bell Hotel is situated in the picturesque market town of Winslow, just 12 miles south of the circuit. Being so close to the circuit allows you to take advantage of any parties that may be taking place during the evenings. The hotel has a great buzz to it as we share the hotel with the Pirelli F1 team.
Our Silverstone packages sell out fast, so be sure to book now and secure your places.

Race tickets Overview
CLUB SILVERSTONE
The Club Silverstone Grandstand allows you to view one of the most
famous and historic corner complexes in the world. With private food
marquee and bar behind the grandstand, Club Silverstone bridges the gap
between full hospitality and standard grandstand tickets.
Spectators see the action twice per lap - as the cars come through
Becketts and then again as they come up through the Arena Complex.
PLATINUM SELECTION
Platinum tickets include a roving seat on Friday and Saturday in any
"open to the public" roving grandstand and a reserved seat in your
allocated grandstand on Sunday. All Platinum Grandstands are covered.
International Pit Straight Grandstand
New for 2011 is the International Pits Straight, spectators will see
drivers exit Club Corner and speed down the new pits straight into the
fast right turn at Abbey and into Farm Curve. With the combined roar
from the cars as they try to get the best getaway, International Pits
Straight can be a spectacular place to watch. It provides a great view
of the start/finish line and across the track to the pitlane and podium
area.
Club
Watch on as the cars roar into life from the new start/finish line and
speed round the new Farm Curve. The cars will then reappear blasting out
of Club Corner to race along the new International Pits Straight, into
Abbey and on to Farm Curve. Best for high speed action.
Luffield B
One of the best seats in the house. Watch the cars as they appear under
the bridge on Wellington Straight and enter the Luffield Complex, it's
then hard on the power as the drivers accelerate out of Luffield and
through Woodcote. The cars are in view for a prolonged period of time,
allowing you to soak up all the breathtaking noise and atmosphere.
GOLD SELECTION
Gold tickets include a roving* seat on Friday and Saturday in any "open
to the public" roving grandstand and a reserved seat in your allocated
grandstand on Sunday.
Farm Curve - Uncovered Grandstand
Farm Curve has great views of Abbey, the first turn after the
Start/Finish straight. Watch the cars scream around this first corner
into Farm Curve. Farm Curve also has great views of the Pit Lane exit,
where the cars battle to come out in front.
Club A - Uncovered Grandstand
It's hard on the brakes for the drivers as the left, right chicane
provides a great opportunity to gain an advantage before the run up the
International Pits Straight. Club A offers views of the drivers speeding
down Vale and entering the slow left, right chicane before taking off up
International Pits Straight.
SILVER SELECTION
Silver 3 day tickets include a roving seat on Friday and Saturday in any
open grandstand and a reserved seat in your allocated grandstand on
Sunday.
Copse - Covered Grandstands
A fast entry requires full commitment from the drivers and plenty of
noise for the spectators! Copse provides a great view of one of the
fastest corners in F1™. From Copse you will see the cars speeding down
the National Straight into this fast paced corner.
GENERAL ADMISSION 'FAN' TICKETS
The General Admission 'Fan' tickets give you access to the outside of
the circuit and allow you to choose your own vantage point in one of the
designated General Admission areas (under the guidance of the spectator
marshals of course!).
General Admission areas include, Hangar Straight, Becketts, Stowe, new
Vale and Luffield viewing and more.
Please note that General Admission does NOT include access to
Grandstands.
VIP STOWE LAKESIDE HOSPITALITY...
is a stones throw away from the action on the inside of the breakneck
Stowe Corner. The views have to be seen to be believed. There will be
plenty of entertainment off track too, with a band and DJ keeping the
tempo up and plenty of sumptuous food and drink on offer to fuel the
party atmosphere.
The Stowe Lakeside Terrace allows you to move freely between Vale and
Stowe Corner to find your perfect view. Refreshments will also be
provided during the race so that you can sip on Champagne while the
action unfolds on the track. Inside the VIP area, guests will enjoy
fabulous cuisine from the chef's table, all-day champagne and a
complimentary bar service.
Highlights !
The new Silverstone circuit
Silverstone is now one of the best circuits in the world.
It's facilities are fantastic and it's grandstands provide some of the best viewing imaginable.
Gone are the days of long queues into the circuit. Today dedicated coach lanes
usher us into giant car parks just minutes from the circuit entrance.
The futuristic pit complex and exhibition centre is an amazing sight
behold. The revised circuit layout is just as fast and challenging for
the drivers, but it is the fans who are the real winners as the improved
viewing make the British Grand Prix the one to watch.
Food & Drink
From Gourmet Burgers to tasty Thai Green Curries, Silverstone is
unique amongst F1 circuits in offering a huge range food styles. You can
be assured that you will find something to excite your palate and
satisfy your appetite.
New this year is the Revolution Bistro This bistro offers
traditional, locally sourced produce for the general public. Located
adjacent to Club Silverstone enclosure on the corner of Becketts,
the facility was designed to offer people an alternative to mobile
catering with a relaxed seated dining experience and a high quality
menu.
When it comes to quenching your thirst your choices are equally
tempting. Traditional Teas and Luxury Coffees aplenty. Beers, Pimms and
Champagne paddocks help you celebrate your F1 weekend in style.
Air Displays
Air displays are another firm favourite amongst Silverstone fans. In 2010 guests saw the famous Red Arrows, Typhoon display and Red Devils Parachute display teams grace the skies above Silverstone, stunning the crowds. These remarkable feats of skill and courage had spectators in awe of our nation's top airborne daredevils.
Marching Bands & Drivers Parade
OK its not hip and trendy but us Silverstone fans love the tradition and the spectacle. Be British, be proud. Get behind our drivers and cheer and wave as they pass by on the drivers parade.
Superb Grand Prix Party Atmosphere
The British Grand Prix is the biggest and best grand prix of season. The British fans are the most knowledgeable of all F1 fans and the support they give all the drivers just has to be experienced to be believed.
Travel Information
The Peacock Inn near Chinnor, Oxfordshire is situated just off Junction 6 on the M40. Nearest rail station is Princes Risborough which is on the Chiltern line out of London Marylebourne. Arriving by Air - Closest airport is Heathrow at 26 miles. Luton airport is 37 miles. What you've said
Hello Linda,
Firstly, many thanks for a fantastic time at the British Grand Prix.
It was our first Grand Prix and we both thoroughly enjoyed it,
especially as the Pirelli guys staying at The Bell also gave us a
fantastic insight into the technicalities of the tyres! The racing was
really awesome, so much so that I am writing with a request! Could you
please put us on your list for next years’ British Grand Prix, staying
at The Bell again with tickets in Luffield. Obviously I will confirm my
request with you when you have final costs, but I have started saving
already!
Many thanks once again, and have fun at all your other races this year.
Yours sincerely,
Nickie and Ian Hough
Hi John
I would just like to thank you for a very enjoyable weekend at the Grand
Prix.
We enjoyed it so much my son can't wait 'til next year. Would you be
kind enough to contact me when your tickets become available for next
years event?
Thank you again
Regards
Linda Oakes
Hi John
My dad, Mike and myself want to thank you for doing a great job
organising the tour. It was a very special way to celebrate my dad's
80th!
All the best Bruce Tocher
Hello John
Sorry we didn’t get to see you at breakfast on our last day to say
goodbye.
We just wanted to say a big thank you for a fantastic weekend at
Silverstone. We have been a few times ourselves, but this weekend was
most definitely the best. What with the beautiful sunshine and the
fantastic seats we had which we can only describe as ‘Pole Position’! It
was a great race and the British lads did very well considering all
their setbacks with the car.
I found myself winding down and having a relaxing weekend for it to be
over far too quickly! The hotel was in a beautiful location and the
hospitality of the staff and the food was excellent. It was so nice not
having to eat ‘Pub Food’, and we thought the chef made some excellent
choices with the menu and as a result I have half a stone to lose!
We would like to do another Grand Prix abroad, maybe not next year but
the year after in 2012. It looks like it will be Silverstone again for
next year but we would really like to do Abu Dhabi which you have
recommended so we are going to start working towards that as from now!
Please drop me a line when bookings for Silverstone next year are
available.
We look forward to speaking with you again in the future.
Kindest regards
Tina & Kevin Lewis
We invite guests to return to this section after they have attended the race and to share their enjoyment of the event with others.
